After owning the airwaves with her crossover hit Chokeslam, Limpopo-born artist Kharishma is back with a new single Fly High Lekompo.
The track marks a return for the star, who has fast become one of the defining voices of the rising Lekompo genre, a sound rooted in the streets of Limpopo and now making waves across Mzansi.
According to a statement shared by Kharishma’s record label, “Fly High Lekompo is an anthem designed to uplift and energise, reflecting the unstoppable momentum of both the artist and the genre she champions.”
The musician said about her latest release, “This one is for the streets, for the people, and for the culture. Lekompo is flying high, and we’re taking it to the world.”
The single is now available on all major streaming platforms.
At just 20 years old, Kharishma achieved great success when her breakout single Chokeslam won Song of the Year on both Thobela FM and Capricorn FM.
The track’s viral success on platforms like TikTok and YouTube introduced Lekompo to a broader audience, positioning Kharishma as a trailblazer for the genre.
