Reverend Benjamin Dube has announced his departure from the gospel collective Spirit of Praise.
The announcement, released by Dube Connection on Monday, 14 April 2025, detailed that this decision came after extensive prayer, reflection, and discussions with key stakeholders.
Dube who is a stalwart in the South African gospel music scene, has been an integral part of Spirit of Praise. The platform that has profoundly impacted countless lives through its powerful worship and message.
The press statement emphasised the significant role Spirit of Praise played in elevating worship and spreading the gospel, both locally and internationally.
“This decision was not made lightly, as Spirit of Praise has been an important part of Rev. Dube’s ministry journey over the years,” the statement read.
“Through this platform, countless lives have been touched, worship has been elevated, and the message of Christ has reached multitudes both locally and globally.”
However, Dube believes the time has come for a new chapter in his ministry. He is now set to focus on expanding his personal ministry, mentoring emerging gospel artists, and pursuing projects that align with his unique divine calling.
The statement conveyed deep gratitude towards Spirit Music Group, the Spirit of Praise team, and the owners, Aubrey Peacock and Matthew Nkabinde, for the years of fruitful partnership and mutual respect. Dube expressed that he departs with “nothing but love, honour, and profound appreciation in his heart.”
“As seasons change, so do assignments,” the statement explained, highlighting the natural progression of his ministerial journey.
