South African sensation Tyla was honored with the Impact Award at the Billboard Women in Music Awards, marking another significant milestone in her rapidly ascending career.
The prestigious ceremony, held at the YouTube Theatre at Hollywood Park, celebrated the achievements of influential women across the music industry.
Tyla joined a distinguished roster of honorees, including Erykah Badu, Muni Long, Ángela Aguilar, aespa, Megan Moroney, GloRilla, and Gracie Abrams, all recognised for their impactful contributions to music.
In her heartfelt acceptance speech, Tyla reflected on her journey, stating:
“When my career took off, I realised God had his own plans, and I just feel very lucky to have fans who have given me such an exciting life and allowed me to grow in front of the world, into all the different versions of myself as an artist and as a woman.”
This latest accolade follows Tyla’s earlier triumph at the Billboard Music Awards in December, where she secured two wins: Top Afrobeats Artist and Top Afrobeats Song for her chart-topping hit, “Water”.
Her continued success underscores her growing influence and impact on the global music scene.
