Cape Town City has confirmed the signing of former Ajax Amsterdam and Bafana Bafana midfielder Thulani Serero on a free transfer on Thursday.

He has won the Premier Soccer League (PSL) Footballer of the Year, PSL Player of the Season, PSL Players’ Player of the Season, and Absa Premiership Red Hot Young Player awards.
Serero, also known as Cream, left South Africa in 2011 to play for Dutch powerhouse Ajax in the Eredivisie.
The 34-year-old creative midfielder, who has played at the top level in the world, comes to Cape Town City with a wealth of experience which will come in very handy as Cape Town City FC’s performance in the PSL has shown a mix of results.
They’ve had some notable wins, particularly at home, but their away form has been a challenge. Currently, they occupy a mid-table position in the league.
