South African sports broadcaster Motshidisi Mohono has revealed that she suffered a freak injury, which has temporarily sidelined her from work.
In a social media post, Mohono shared, “It’s been a tough few days. Just last week, I was working to get my groove back in the gym, staying consistent and feeling so good. Then, BOOM—freak accident, plus surgery, and now I’m man down.”
Despite the setback, Mohono remains optimistic and focused on her recovery.
“My focus must now shift from trying to lose weight to building a patient and resilient spirit. Moving slowly, without feeling like I’m falling behind. Moving at a new pace. It’s a long road to full recovery, and I accept the challenge. I know, for sure, I will be fine!”
She urged her fans to remain patient, assuring them that she will soon return to the touchline and studio. “I’ll be back at the stadium and in the studio before you know it. All is well. This, too, will work out for my good.”
Mohono’s injury comes during an already eventful year. In August 2024, she joyfully announced her pregnancy, sharing a picture from her maternity photoshoot and expressing her excitement for the next chapter of her life.
While she did not reveal the exact birth date of her child, Mohono shared the first snaps of her baby in January this year, captioning the post:
“2024, you owe me nothing! Thank you for bringing Love and I our precious gift—safe and sound. What a time it’s been watching her grow. We are so in love! I pray for unending joy, growth, peace, wealth, and love for my little family and for our loved ones in the New Year. Modimo, be good to us.”
