AfriForum and the Solidarity Movement recently met with representatives of Trump administration.
AfriForum’s Head of Public Relations, Ernst Van Zyl, wrote on X that the delegation that went to Washington consisted of Solidarity CEO Dr. Dirk Hermann, AfriForum CEO Kallie Kriel, and the chair of the Solidarity Movement Flip Buys.
According to their statement, the group thanked the Trump administration for drawing attention to alleged human rights abuses against Afrikaners as well as what they described as the ANC’s dangerous policies and the nation’s weak governance.
Among other things, the group pleaded with Trump’s government to order the ANC leaders to stop discriminating against Afrikaners under the BELA Act and other “race laws” that were intended to remedy decades of black oppression under white colonial and apartheid control.

Additionally, the group wants the US to protect property rights by amending the Expropriation Act and to take firm action against hate speech that incites violence, such as farm killings of Afrikaners.
They also gave the Trump administration a memorandum.
As part of the memorandum they asked the United States government to “expand its recognition of Afrikaners as a cultural community and to increase assistance to include support for the establishment of cultural infrastructure that enables them to live freely, safely, and prosperously in southern Africa”.
