South African actress Brenda Ngxoli is celebrating her upcoming film role.
The actress who is best known for her roles in the television series Home Affairs, Ses’ Top La and Hustle is set to star in a movie called “A Scam Called Love“.
Brenda first made her cinematic debut in 2010, as “Innocence” in the first Spud franchise film. She reprised the role in all three films: Spud (2010), Spud 2: The Madness Continues (2013), and Spud 3: Learning to Fly (2014).
“A Scam Called Love” is a South African romantic comedy set to be released on 7 March 2025.
Directed and written by the husband-and-wife duo Carla Fonseca Mokgata and Nthato Mokgata, the film stars Didintle Khunou as an ambitious chef Zola and Tobi Bamtefa as a carefree line cook Julian.
The film boasts a stellar supporting cast of South African actors, including Thando Thabethe, and Trevor Gumbi. “A Scam Called Love” is produced by Wolflight Films and promises a blend of romance, comedy, and feel-good entertainment with a witty and heartfelt story.
Ngxoli took to social media to celebrate her return to the big screen.
“Finally Brenda Ngxoli makes it to the Big Screen. I too have Finally made it to Cinemas All in God’s Timing,” wrote Ngxoli.
