South African television personality Zizo Beda has been taken down memory lane after finding precious tokens from her childhood while sorting through her late mother’s belongings.
This follows the passing of her mother, Reverend Nonceba Beda, which Zizo announced on social media on 4 November 2024.
The first item she posted is an old school photo of herself which she said made her realise that she looks exactly like her son.
“My son has my whole face!!! This photo is me.
“Sorting through all our Mama’s things has taken us all down memory lane! It’s been the wildest thing. She kept so many things over the years. We have laughed like crazy thinking back on the incredible life we have lived with her. We were and remain truly blessed,” said Zizo on Instagram.
She also posted a fun video of herself and her sister, Asanda Beda, wearing sashes from their past beauty pageants and playfully strutting down the corridor in their home.
Zizo, who is a former Miss South Africa Teen 2006, revealed that Asanda was the first to enter Miss South Africa Teen and make it as a finalist back in 1999.
“Guys, when I say our Mama kept EVERYTHING I mean it! Look at what @asanda.beda and I found while tidying up all her things!
“Fun fact : Asanda was the original sister to enter Miss South Africa Teen and make it as a finalist in 1999! She’s always been one of the coolest people I’ve ever known,” said Zizo.

She concluded her post by professing God’s faithfulness for her strength during what should be an emotionally challenging time for her.
“All in all, what should be a really tough time emotionally, God is being so faithful to His Word that His Joy is my STRENGTH!!! Jesus, I highly recommend Him. He Loves you!,” wrote Zizo.
