Gugu Ndabezitha’s journey in the Big Brother Mzansi Umlilo house sadly came to an end when she was evicted on Sunday, 2 January.
The 34-year-old traditional healer, whose real name is Nokulunga Gugu Ndabezitha, claims she wasn’t shocked about her eviction because she saw it coming in a dream.
According to DStv, the night before the eviction Gugu dreamt that Smash Afrika told her to leave the house. She even shared her dream with some of her housemates.
“On Sunday morning, I told the girls how worried I was because I dreamt of Smash Afrika asking me to leave the house – they [girls] thought my dream meant the opposite of an elimination but that’s not the case because here we are. I hardly dream about myself which proved that I was indeed going home,” Gugu told Sowetan.
She has since taken to Instagram to share how grateful she is for the opportunity as this was the fourth time she auditioned for the show.
“Big Brother Africa was also one of the platforms I tried out for, four times. This time, Big Brother Mzansi said yes, we see something in you. I may have only spent one month in the house but I’m genuinely grateful for the opportunity and the fact that God truly sees me.
“I meant what I said when I mentioned that last year was my rock bottom. However, on my way to hitting rock bottom, I found a trampoline. I jumped so high and I will continue to soar higher. I thought it was the end when I was evicted but it is genuinely not the end. I hope God has more for me,” Gugu wrote on Instagram.
Upon her eviction on Sunday, Gugu accused the guys in the house of being snakes (except for Abobo and Beekay) but left feeling very sure about her friendships with Philile and Siphesihle.
Gugu is the fourth housemate to be evicted after Bonnie Bee and Savage were evicted last week and Kay B was disqualified.
She was up against Mata, Nsuku and Uyanda who were also facing the possibility of eviction.
This leaves 20 housemates remaining to compete for the R2 million grand prize.
