EFF leader Julius Malema finally broke his silence and addressed the resignation of Dr Mbuyiseni Ndlozi from parliament on Tuesday.
Speaking to Onkgopotse “JJ” Tabane on eNCA’s Power to Truth, Malema said he got the news of Ndlozi’s resignation from the secretary general when he was out of country on holiday with his wife.
Malema admitted that no discussion took place between him and Ndlozi before the resignation happened.
When pressed about why Ndlozi failed to attend the EFF’s NPA last year, Julius quipped that he’s not Ndlozi’s father.
“I’m not responsible for Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, I’m not his father. I’m not his father. Where he was, what was he was doing, I don’t know,” Malema said.
Malema also confirmed that he doesn’t have a relationship with Ndlozi as it ended at the time he didn’t attend the congress.
This comes after rumours have been rife that Ndlozi and Malema are allegedly at loggerheads.
Things took a turn for the worst when Ndlozi failed to attend the EFF’s third National People’s Assembly (NPA) at Nasrec, Johannesburg in December 2024.
On Thursday, 9 January the EFF announced in a statement that party member Ndlozi, along with Yazini Tetyana had resigned from the National Assembly.
