The funeral service details of former Finance Minister Tito Mboweni have been announced.
Tito Mboweni’s passing was confirmed on Saturday by his family. Mboweni passed away at the age of 65 due to a short illness.
Mboweni was the first black South African to serve as Governor of the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) from 1999 to 2009. During his tenure, he focused on stabilising inflation and maintaining financial stability.
Tito Mboweni will be laid to rest on Saturday, October 19th in Tzaneen, Limpopo.
Prayers are currently being held in Killarney and Sasekane Village at 18h00 until Wednesday.
