A Gauteng woman has been sentenced to 3 life terms for killing her son and 2 lovers.
Pamela Ncumisa Selani from Olievenhoutbosch reportedly killed her teenage son Avile Jonjwana and her 2 lovers, Micheal Changisa and Gift from Malawi.
In 2016, Selani and her then lover, Micheal Changisa argued after she discovered he had infected her with a chronic disease. Weeks after the argument, Selani asked her second lov, Gift who lived in the same area to help her kill her partner Changisa.
One night, Gift went to the house Selani shared with Changisa and hid in the bathroom. After Changisa had fallen asleep, Gift snuck out of the bathroom and repeatedly hit Changisa with a hammer on his head in the presence of Selani’s 2 minor children, leaving Changisa in the bedroom where he died.
After the incident, Selani and Gift buried Changisa in her yard.
Gift moved into Selani’s house, and in 2017, the woman conspired with her 17-year old son Avile to kill Gift because he was abusing her.
The two then poisoned Gift and drowned him by holding his head under water. They buried him in the same grave that Changisa was buried in.
Selani reportedly killed her son Avile who was addicted to drugs, after he started demanding money from her and threatened to report her to the police.
One night, Avile chased his mother and his younger sibling out of the house, they then went to stay at her third boyfriend’s house in the same area. The following night they all returned to the house and hid in the yard.
While doing so, Avile arrived home and went straight to bed, while sleeping Selani asked her minor son to sneak into the house and open the door. Thereafter, Selani grabbed a hammer and repeatedly hit Avile on the head until he died, and she buried him on top of two deceased persons in her yard.
Selani was arrested after her 14-year old son told a traditional healer about his mother’s murder streak.
The 47-year old pleaded not guilty to the charges against her and denied committing the offences.
Selani was found to have shown no remorse for her actions, and Judge Papi Masopa said it was a small mercy that her 14-year old son was not murdered too.
