Skhothane sa Pitori has apologised to Shebeshxt and his fans for announcing that the rapper had died in a car accident on Saturday, 08 June.
In a video that surfaced online following the horrific car crash that Shebeshxt was involved in, Skhothane sa Pitori can be seen on stage making an announcement that the Limpopo-born rapper had passed.
This sparked an online frenzy with Shebeshxt’s fans calling out Skhothane for being disrespectful and spreading fake news during a difficult time for the rapper.
There’s also unconfirmed reports that Shebeshxt’s daughter was in the vehicle with him, with the Sunday World reporting that the 9-year old passed away.
Realising the error of his actions, Skhothane took to his social media to issue an apology to Shebeshxt and his fans, wishing the rapper who’s in hospital a speedy recovery.
“I’d like to ask for forgiveness, there was a misunderstanding at a gig that took place yesterday.
Please forgive me. Shebeshxt is still alive. He is not dead. Social media sometimes confuses people.
Speedy recovery my friend. South Africa still loves you.”
