Congratulations to Uzalo actress Thabisile Zikhali on announcing the opening of her beauty salon, Lavish Beauty.
“When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen,” wrote Zikhali announcing her new business venture.
The actress notes that during her primary school days, she ran an informal salon in her dining room. “Every weekend, I’d braid my neighbours’ hair! I even had a board stuck on our gate inviting potential customers. Most of them paid for my services, except for my mom, sister, and aunt,” she recalled.
When she got to university, she continued running her informal salon hery res. “I was pretty good at it; I even braided my own hair. I remember writing a business proposal in primary school with plans to turn our garage into a salon, but I didn’t have the resources. As time went by, I forgot about the dream, but God didn’t,” she shared.
Fast forward to today, and Zikhali looks set to launch her beauty business.
“If you didn’t know, now you do! I’ve decided to turn my passion into a business. I’m thrilled to announce the opening of @lb_lavishbeauty a one-stop beauty destination where you can indulge in lashes, nails, makeup, and hair styling. And we didn’t forget about the guys—we have a barber on-site, so bring your partner along for some pampering!
“We’re not just offering services; we’re creating an experience. From the moment you walk in, you’ll feel the love and passion that have gone into making this dream a reality.”
Zikhali acknowledged that the journey hasn’t been easy, but it has been the most beautiful journey of her life. She can’t wait to share this exciting new chapter with everyone.
Zikhali joined Uzalo a few years ago as Biyela – an honest and well-educated woman determined to keep the department on the straight and narrow.
