Duduzane Zuma joined Sizwe Dhlomo on Kaya Drive this afternoon, getting straight into the question on everyone’s mind, Sizwe Dhlomo asked him point-blank “Are you here to talk about your Presidential bid?”
Duduzane was coy in his response and spoke about wanting to unite the people of South Africa and talked about having a country to build.
“It’s time for the people of S.A to unite. There’s more that we can do. When I look at the situation, history makes it difficult to pull people together. We’ve got a country to build, I’m willing to take a stand and be involved in that process.” – Duduzane Zuma
He touched on his interest in politics and how his subsequent progression in business has shaped his experience. The journey has led him to a different route, that of a possible venture in politics.
While he left his stance in politics open-ended, rumours about his Presidential bid have swirled on social media since Tokyo Sexwale’s comments about South Africa needing a younger President.

Leaving no stone unturned, Sizwe probed about Duduzane’s arrest in Rosebank three years ago.
Duduzane was detained for hours without being formally detained.
Duduzane spoke about how if the situation had turned out differently, he would not be sitting in-studio and would instead be in orange overalls.
Duduzane acknowledges that there is a myriad of charges labelled against him. These include:
- Fraud
- Corruption
- Money laundering
- Bribery
“None of these charges have come with proof,” Duduzane Zuma affirmed, despite a host of investigations and enquiries.
“The absence of evidence, is not necessarily the evidence of innocence.” – @SizweDhlomo
