Minister Zizi Kodwa congratulates Innocent Masuku on his sterling performance in Britain’s Got Talent.
A 33-year-old South African opera singer who resides in London, Innocent Masuku, gave the judges of Britain’s Got Talent chills during his audition performance of Lucio Dalla’s Casuro.
In her remarks, Judge Amanda Holden praised him as the best opera singer the judges on Britain’s Got Talent had witnessed in her 17 years of experience.
The Minister of Sport, Arts, and Culture of South Africa was drawn to his performance and posted the captivating performance on social media.

Who is Innocent Masuku?
Innocent made his first public performance as Crabman in a production of Porgy and Bess set in Argentina.
Since then, he has experienced other career high points, such as winning the Drake Calleja Trust prize and the Merit prize in the 2019 SAMRO competition. Due to his talents, Innocent was given the Oppenheimer International Scholarship and the Countess of Munster Musical Trust Study Award, which helped launch him onto the global scene.
As of right now, Innocent performs in Barber of Seville as Count Almaviva at the English National Opera.
