Need a chore done this election season, a political party will do it for you.
Electioneering used to be that political parties would visit informal settlements, drink water from your storage bucket, and leave food parcels or merch. Now they’re rolling up their sleeves and doing chores for photo opportunities.
In this election season party agents are going above and beyond to win the electorate’s vote and favor. Here are just some of the chores they have been doing for voters.
Handwashing your clothes
An ANC member was spotted handwashing clothes. No need to do your weekend laundry by yourself, the washing will be done sooner than “Thank you for voting for us”

Gardening
The DA went on a clean-up campaign. It is never too late to get rid of weeds in your garden, especially if you have some help.

Braiding your child’s hair
A member of the MK (Mkhonto We Sizwe) was spotted helping a mother braid her child’s hair. With the economy and the prices of taking your child to a hair salon, no one should do it alone.

Fetching water from the river – “Running water for who?”
Few ANC members joined the community to fetch water. We can all agree that water is a basic human right, and fetching it from the river should not be a solo sport.

Fetching firewood
Another ANC member helps the community with transporting firewood. It gets really cold in winter, and a plan must be made with the high electricity prices.
