Maps Maponyane took to Twitter to share his frustrations after finding a bat in his house.
The media personality said he found the bat in his bedroom at 3am and is confused as to how it got in as all his windows and doors were closed.
He added that although he managed to catch the bat and release it, he doesn’t understand what it means.

“A bat was flying around my bedroom in the early hours of the morning (3am). When I realised what was happening, I caught it (and set it free again). All my windows and doors were closed, so I have no idea how it got in,” he wrote.
“I don’t know what this means, but I’m hella confused, ” he added.

Tweeps had a lot to say, some even suggesting that he must visit a traditional healer.
“You see, this is where it gets confusing because of our interaction with the west. For them a bat is a symbol of rebirth/letting go of fear. Owls are wisdom. For us, both those creatures are bad omens and shouldn’t be anywhere near your house. Let alone your bedroom,” one Twitter user wrote.
