“Almost witnessed a kidnapping in broad daylight” – Lorna Maseko details a scary incident in Rosebank.
South African chef, media personality, and former ballerina Lorna Maseko, recently opened up about a terrifying encounter she experienced in Rosebank. Maseko disclosed that she nearly saw a kidnapping in broad daylight on Oxford Street in Rosebank.
Maseko described what happened and expressed how worried she was about other people’s safety. She said at first she thought they were a couple arguing, only to realise it was a possible kidnapping.
“I cannot belive I almost witnessed a young girl get kidnapped by 2 guys in this car. A black guy (driver) and Indian guy (passenger). The Indian guy kept getting out the car as she was running and she kept stopping and crossing the road. This happened on Oxford rd near Rosebank.
First I thought they were a couple arguing and she was running away from her partner but then realised this could be a possible kidnapping. I then stopped my car, they saw me doing this and acted like nothing happened.”
“Please be careful out there”
Maseko encouraged everyone to exercise caution and awareness at all times.
“I also kinda remember what the Indian guy looked like. She got into my car and I drove her home. Please be careful out there – I’m so flustered by the whole thing. She could have just disappeared and no one would have known what happened to her. What’s even more scary is this was done in broad daylight. I didn’t even get the lady’s name. Hope you’re ok sis.”
Maseko shared the incident on X (formerly known as Twitter) saying she stopped and picked up the lady and dropped her home.
