After her husband passed away, a widow discovered messages from him and other women on his phone. This discovery was so painful that she couldn’t even cry at his funeral. His parents have suggested a tombstone unveiling for what would have been his 50th birthday in November, but she is still struggling with the hurt from his infidelity.
Anonymous is considering telling her late husband’s parents that she’s not ready for the ceremony. She reached out to The Best T in the City with Tbose to see if there were any blind spots she might be overlooking.
“My husband passed away in 2022 after a short illness. A few days after his passing, I opened his phone, and I was not ready for what I would find. I knew that he was cheating on me, as this had been happening for a while. However, I was never ready for all the nudes from different women as well as the things he was sending them. After seeing all these things, I grew so angry at him that I didn’t shed a tear at his funeral.
“Now, my in-laws have been asking me to erect a tombstone, as he will be turning 50 in November. I hear them, but I am still so angry. I just don’t know what there is to celebrate. I feel he disrespected me so much when he was alive. Why should I now go out of my way to do this one thing for him?
“My fear is that I might never forgive him. Would I be wrong to tell his family everything and let them know for now? I am not ready to unveil a tombstone, or should I do it and get it over and done with? What could be my blind spot?”

Jimmy on X advised Anonymous to proceed with the tombstone unveiling and let go of the resentment, as it would hurt her health in the future.
Another person on X shared that they were in a similar situation and decided to go through with the tombstone unveiling, which ultimately brought them peace in the long run.
