“First time since 2019” -Bafana Bafana qualify for the round of 16 in AFCON
Bafana Bafana, the national men’s football team, has kept the nation’s hope alive as they advanced to the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations round of 16, which will take place in Ivory Coast.
In their pivotal Group E match on Wednesday night, South Africa and Tunisia played to a goalless draw, which allowed them to advance to the knockout stages for the first time since the 2019 edition held in Egypt.
Namibia and the top-ranked Mali played to a goalless draw in the other Group E match, keeping the standings unaltered

On Tuesday, 30 January South Africa will take on Morocco at 22:00. The team is a formidable opponent and has maintained its lead in Group F with a 1-0 victory over Zambia, while Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
