Bonginkosi Khanyile appointed as MK’s national coordinator and youth leader
Former President Jacob Zuma’s new MK party has named Fees Must Fall activist Bonginkosi Khanyile its national youth coordinator.
The declaration follows his expulsion from the Patriotic Alliance, which Gayton McKenzie leads. Before joining PA, Khanyile belonged to the ANC and the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF). He was the PA’s KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) premier candidate and its youth wing leader.

The appointment of Khanyile by the national interim leadership core of the party was announced in a statement issued by MK acting secretary Thanduxolo Gorbachev Dyodyo.
“The decision was made after assessing the situation facing the youth in our country and which youth leader would be best suited and fit-for-purpose to lead. His role will be to co-ordinate efforts and organise the youth to rally behind the banner of the MK party, while mobilising and agitating them to wage popular struggles,”
“Ours is to centre the agenda of the youth at all material times. Free education, employment for all, a fight against drugs and alcohol, a fight against GBV and all other social [ills] top our agendas as the incoming government,”
