Gospel musician Dr. Kenny Makweng from Limpopo has passed away at the age of 54.
His team informed the public on Thursday, January 4, that he was still not feeling well. His passing occurs after the musician’s hospital admission following a stroke.
The Lengeloi Laka gospel star from Dennilton, Limpopo, who has collaborated with fellow gospel artists such as Mojeremane, Oleseng Shuping, and Winnie Mashaba passed away on Monday, January 15.
His passing was confirmed by his management team KennyMak Productions on Monday and they have asked the media to respect the family’s privacy:
“IT IS WITH GREAT SADNESS THAT WE SHARE THE NEWS OF THE PASSING OF OUR BELOVED GOSPEL ICON DR. KENNY MAKWENG, WHO PASSED ON AFTER A SHORT ILLNESS.
DETAILS OF THE MEMORIAL SERVICE AS WELL AS FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS WILL BE ANNOUNCED BY KENNYMAK PRODUCTIONS AS PER FAMILY INSTRUCTIONS IN DUE COURSE. THE FAMILY HUMBLY REQUEST THE PUBLIC AND MEDIA TO RESPECT THEIR PRIVACY TO DEAL WITH THIS DIFFICULT SITUATION.
