Real Housewives of Durban’s Mbaliyezwe “Mbali” Ngiba has apologized for losing it with a security guard, in a video that has since been deleted from her Instagram account.
Mbali was filmed using profanity, aggressively banging on the reception desk at a hotel, and belittling a security guard in the presence of other people.
In the video, Mbali throws insults at the security guard telling him he doesn’t have a matric and only earns R4 000 a month.
The reality star who behaved like a diva during the incident, has since issued a video apology on her Instagram account, and explained what happened to push her over the edge.
“When we got to the hotel, we didn’t know we required a code to leave, and the person we came with had already left, so we got stuck and were unable to leave the hotel.
I tried to reason with the security guard to open for us because of the situation we were in.
When I tried talking to him, he started having an attitude and just gave us looks for an hour.
Then, I think there was something he said to me, and I lost it, and used words I shouldn’t have.
I’m not that type of person. I think it was the way he decided to conduct the situation that pushed me.
I’d also like to apologize to him as well. I’d like to apologize to my followers. I’d like to apologize to the people that respect me, and people who have never seen that side of me.
I lost it, I don’t want to lie. The words that I used are not words that, when I look at the video, I am proud that I used.”
Mbaliyezwe Ngiba’s apology comes after she received a lot of backlash on social media for looking down at the security guard, and dehumanizing him for simply doing his job.
