Somizi Mhlongo travelled to the Eastern Cape this week to visit the family of murder victim, Andile ‘Lulu’ Ntuthela.
Police discovered the 40-year-old gay man’s body in a shallow grave at a home in Kwanobuhle on Saturday, April 10.
Lulu’s family last saw him on March 31. It’s believed he was the victim of a homophobic hate crime.
Somizi joined the LGBTQI community in condemning the brutal killing.
He took to Twitter to reveal that he visited Lulu’s family.

Suspect appears in court
Luvuyo Jonas appeared in the Kwanobuhle Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday in connection with the murder.
His family called the police to his home on April 1 after he set his bedding on fire.
Luvuyo was sent for a mental evaluation. He was charged with malicious damage to property on April 9.
“While detectives were questioning him, information emerged relating to the murder of Andile Ntuthela,” police said.
Officers returned to the suspect’s home on April 10 and found Andile’s body.
The case will resume on June 1.
