It’s that time of the year where there’s queues everywhere you go, and people are always in a rush and frustrated because of the frenzied last minute shopping that needs to be done.
This is when human behaviour becomes a prominent point of observation when you’re out and about, and if you’re anything like Thomas, even the smallest things will set you off.
Trolley wars! Forget parking disputes, Thomas gets irked when people don’t take the time to put the trolleys back in the designated areas in malls.
Trolley wars! Not only is it inconvenient, but the Kaya Drive stand-in presenter says it’s selfish behaviour which could lead to damage to someone else’s car.
A point that a number of listeners also echoed as they had the unpleasant experience of coming back to their car after shopping only to find dents and scratches on their cars from trolleys that had rolled into their cars.
Some listeners simply ask the car guards to return the trolleys for them to avoid walking back to the trolley drop off zones, offering the guards a tip as a thank you for this.
Others say they just leave their trolleys in an empty parking spot near their car, which is the selfish behaviour that grates Thomas.
“It’s busy everywhere, it’s frustrating when you’re looking for a parking and you think you found an empty spot only to find that there’s a trolley there.
Now, I must get out of my car, or bike move the trolley, come back to my vehicle and then park, no fam, just no!
Why can’t people just take the trolleys back after they’re done? Why don’t we think about how our behaviour is going to affect the next person? Just be considerate.”
