Sean “Diddy” Combs has been slapped with sexual assault lawsuits by two more women, just a week since the rapper settled a damning lawsuit that his ex-girlfriend Cassie levelled against him.
The 54-year American rap mogul has, according to his spokesperson denied these fresh sexual misconduct allegations, calling them a “money grab”, that was fabricated to take advantage of the New York Adult Survivors Act.
This state law deadline expired on 24 November, which allowed alleged victims a 1-year window regardless of when the alleged assault took place.
In the past month a number of US stars have had sexual assault lawsuits filed against them, including Jamie Foxx, and Cuba Gooding Jr.
A day before the act expired, Joi Dickerson-Neal filed a lawsuit against Diddy accusing him of drugging her and sexually assaulting her while she was a student.
She claims the assault took place in 1991, after having dinner with the rapper, where he spiked her drink while she was using the bathroom.
Dickerson-Neal further accuses Diddy of coercing her into taking a puff of a blunt, before taking her to the hotel he was staying at where he began to rape her.
On the same day that Dickerson-Neal filed a case of sexual assault against Diddy, another woman, whose identity has not been released, came forward with similar claims.
The second woman claims she and a friend were sexually assaulted by Diddy and R&B singer Aaron Hall in 1990 or 1991 at Hall’s apartment.
In addition to the sexual assault claims, the second woman accused Diddy of showing up at her home where he assaulted and choked her until she passed out.
Diddy’s spokesperson says the rapper has vehemently denied all allegations brought against him, recognizing these claims as a money grab.
