A listener recently shared that he has met someone and things are going smoothly in their relationship. However, during a recent outing, his partner received a message from a contact saved as “My Lover.” Naturally, he confronted her about it, and she explained that it was from an ex she had forgotten to delete.
What’s causing him to doubt their relationship is how his partner reacted to the message. He’s worried that his girlfriend may still have feelings for her ex and wants to know if there’s anything he might be overlooking.
“I recently started dating this girl, and on one of our visits, she received a message from a contact saved as ‘My Lover’ with a heart emoji. This didn’t sit well with me, as she only saved me under my name.
“I asked her about it, and she said it was just an ex and forgot to change it back to his name since they do not talk much. This didn’t sit well with me. This didn’t sit well with me. It made me question whether they are still together or if she is even over him. I have strong feelings for her, but I can’t get over the fact that an ex is saved as ‘my lover’ while I’m saved under my name.
“She says I am overreacting, but I wish you could have seen how her face changed when she received the message. She tried to hide it, but she was smiling from the inside.”
