Springbok flyhalf Handre Pollard and his wife have announced their pregnancy. Sharing a beautiful snap from their maternity shoot, Handre’s wife, Marise, revealed that their bundle of joy is due in April 2024. “Thank you, Jesus for trusting us with this little life,” she gushed.

The news was met with congratulatory messages from Springbok supporters across Mzansi.
Handre Pollard, who proved to be pivotal in the Boks’ 2023 World Cup triumph, was called up late to join the squad in Paris as a replacement for injured hooker Malcolm Marx.
Pollard, who is also a member of the 2019 Rugby World Cup-winning team in Japan, was initially ruled out due to a calf injury.
There are rumours swirling around that Pollard’s Springbok teammate Eben Etzebeth and his wife Anlia are expecting a little one. After the Boks triumphantly defended their World Cup title, Etzebeth hopped on social media to send his wife a heartfelt birthday message. In addition to this, he shared a cute picture of the two of them, where Anlia’s baby bump was clearly visible. The pair is yet to officially confirm their pregnancy.
