Claude Mashego has been crowned the first-ever Miss World South Africa.
On Saturday, October 28, at the South African State Theatre in Pretoria, the first national pageant was conducted, and Dr. Claude Mashego was proclaimed Miss World South Africa 2023.
The Miss World South Africa pageant was presented by Minnie Dlamini and was founded by Carol Bouwer Productions.
The 24-year-old doctor defeated 11 other contestants to take home the crown and is now most likely to compete as South Africa’s representative in the 71st Miss World pageant in India.
The new Miss World South Africa is from Mpumalanga’s Acornhoek, Bushbuckridge.
She graduated from the University of Pretoria with a degree in medicine and surgery.
Claude established the organization Young Leaders Network with the goal of uniting young people from many fields of expertise to promote youth development, leadership, and entrepreneurship.
