6 Things to consider before you get married
You love yourself
Marriage works when both partners are already 100 per cent happy with themselves. Being married is about joining two lives together, not giving up one. Both you and your partner need to enter the union already happy.
You’ve cut off all “potentials”
You’ve deleted the dating apps and ceased all communication with any distractions. You are ready to fully commit, there is complete certainty.
There are no longer any red flags
Your family and friends are happy with you getting married. All “red flags” have been addressed, you have complete faith that this will work and are ready to give it your all.
You care about being on the same page with your partner
Before you say “I do”, or “I will”, you need to accept that everyone messes up at some point. So if you’re taking on forever with someone, you must have the ability to look that partner in the face and say, “I am sorry”and actually mean it. Remember apologies have a shelf life, you can’t keep apologising for the same thing.
You have done your homework
You need to ask as many questions as possible in the beginning, the important question that might save you a lot of heartaches later on in life.
Creflo Dollar shares a few very important questions you need to ask if you are dating, courting and planning to get married.
