The family of Busisiwe Ngubo want justice for her senseless killing, just moments before she was about to give birth, allegedly at the hands of her cop boyfriend.
Ngubo, who was 35-years, had called her boyfriend, sergeant Mbuyiseni Gema, as she was on her way to hospital to deliver their babies.
While it was previously reported that the expectant mother was carrying twins, it has been brought to light, that the excited mother was in fact pregnant with triplets.
Ngubo was brutally attacked and strangled to death as she was en-route to the hospital. Her lifeless body was discarded on the roadside near her home in Ehlanzeni, KwaZulu-Natal, on 14 August.
Her family claim she was killed because Gema didn’t want the babies, and had instructed his girlfriend to abort the babies.
According to her brother Dumisani Ngubo, his sister refused to terminate her pregnancy, and wanted to have her babies.
Gema, who appeared at the Ixopo Magistrates Court on Thursday, 31 August, hung his head as the charges were read out.
The case was postponed to next week for Gema’s bail application.
