Mbali joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Durban in its third season, where she bravely opened up about her previous experience of losing a child.
During one of the most memorable moments of the season, Mbali was upset after Slee revealed that her former friend Nonku had made a comment about her, saying she had “Mabusi Vibes.” Many viewers were left puzzled, wondering what was so offensive about being compared to Mabusi that left Mbali feeling frustrated.
Mbali clarified her feelings, saying, “I don’t have a problem with Mabusi, but I don’t see myself in that way. However, the way they treated her undermined her. It felt like they were looking down on me. I felt hurt because I supported her and her wine brand, yet she called me Mabusi Vibes.”
Nonku Williams, in an attempt to explain her comment, shared, “Mabusi Vibes represents a hardworking, independent woman who hustles without relying on anyone. But if you push her buttons, she will respond or react. That’s what I saw when I looked at Mbali.”
