On what survey South Africans want from the convention
Trollip spoke about Action SA’s survey that engaged 21 050 South Africans across all nine provinces and solicited their views on a wide variety of topics relating to the National Convention.
“Most of the respondent believe that the ANC and most of the problems facing South Africa synonymous, and that to fix the problems of South Africa we have to remove the ANC. That was completely unambiguous, it was common ground to for us to find solutions to grow the economy, job creation, fighting crime, drugs and corruption, as well as ending loadshedding.” said Trollip.
On how the ‘Moonshot’ name is a DA name
“The name is definitely going, we have already come up with a name that will be a replacement. It will be announced on Wednesday by the Chairman of this coalition pact… It definitely needs to go, it is a John Steenhuisen name, we need a name that identifies us as all the participating parties… it needs to be a name that South Africans can identify with and rally behind.” said Trollip.
