The police have taken a significant step in investigating the demise of a 15-year-old teenager, which occurred on 31 July 2023.
Brian Ndlovu died on Monday, 31 July as a result of alleged bullying at school.
According to reports, Brian Ndlovu was allegedly forced to consume poison, leading to his untimely death.
The incident has brought the issue of bullying within the school to the forefront, as another parent revealed that her son had also experienced bullying.
Regardless of her call for intervention and warning that one of the incidents may end in tragedy, she received no response or action from the school.
Authorities have opened an inquest docket to delve deeper into the circumstances surrounding Brian Ndlovu’s untimely passing.
As per preliminary reports, the victim had engaged in a scuffle with another learner at his school.
Upon returning home, the teenager faced disapproval from his father for being involved in fights at school.
Seeking solace, he turned to a neighbour, who allegedly offered him “something” to relax.
Following the incident, the teenager started experiencing severe vomiting, prompting immediate concern.
He was rushed to the Hillbrow clinic where he was declared dead.
The precise cause of death remains unknown at this stage, as authorities are awaiting the results of the autopsy.
