South African Swazi-born Amapiano DJ, Uncle Waffles, is all set to release her highly-anticipated new album, An Asylum of Solace.
The second part of her double-sided project is scheduled to drop on August 11, and Waffles eagerly looks forward to sharing it with her fans. “I hope you guys love it the way I do,” she excitedly expressed.
Reflecting on her musical journey and emotions, Waffles described An Asylum of Solace as a “carefully curated musical representation.” The album delves into her feelings and experiences over the past two “transformative years” of her life.
Part one of the project, titled Asylum, depicted the chaos in her mind as she navigated the music industry, overcoming challenges and persevering. Waffles shared the reality of feeling overwhelmed at times, akin to being in an asylum, while still pushing forward in her pursuit of success.
Now, in part two, the album showcases the grace that followed her, bringing “peace and happiness.”
Solace also incorporates musical samples that have inspired her throughout the years. It demonstrates how these diverse inspirations can come together harmoniously, showcasing her artistic growth.
