On the back of opening for RnB icon Tamia during her tour of Mzansi, Lloyiso joined My Top 10 at 10 with Tbose.
Lloyiso reveals that he learned he would be opening for Tamia after being considered alongside two other people. However, he was ultimately chosen for the opportunity.
The audience responses during the tour exceeded his expectations, with the energy from the crowd adding to his performances. He feels that he is now in an excellent place when it comes to live shows.
Despite achieving a Top 5 position on Idols in 2015, Lloyiso’s big breakthrough happened during the pandemic. He admits that while it was a “frustrating time” spent in isolation, it also brought a “sense of calm and self-reflection.”
It was during this period that he wrote his biggest song, Seasons which became a turning point in his career. Lloyiso also learned to embrace self-acceptance, leading to personal growth and artistic expression.
