Skeem Saam actor Clement Maosa has rubbished reports claiming he’s suicidal and tried to take his life.
Sharing screenshots of the story two publications published about his false suicide attempts, Clement shared that he was bombarded with calls and messages from friends and family who were shocked to read that the actor “attempted suicide.”
However, setting the record clear in a video, the actor slammed the reports as completely false, maintaining adamantly that he’s never been in a better place in life as he is right now.
Best known for his role as Zamokuhle Seakamela in the SABC 1 soapie, Skeem Saam, Clement urged followers not to believe everything they read, especially when fake news can be so distasteful, wrong and false.
Clement shared how he received calls from a number of loved ones who implored him to always turn to them should he need a shoulder, leaving the 35-year old actor confused.
It was only after someone had sent him the article link did he understand the concern.
“They had practically written something completely false, driving home this narrative that I’m suicidal and had tried to take my own life.
I don’t like entertaining nonsense, but mental illness is a very sensitive issue that mustn’t be joked about. People are going through a lot and we should be sensitive.”

Clement Maosa said he’s actually in a happy space in lie, is feeling strong and has a lot to be grateful for.
“As for me, I’ve never been this happy in life. All is going well and I’m grateful. God has been good to me. I am living my dream and am the happiest. Stop believing everything you read on Facebook.
We cannot joke about such things. Please let us be sensitive before we start posting things that are irresponsible. I’m fine.”
