WATCH: Mayweather calls on Zimbabweans to vote Emmerson Mangangwa back into office
On July 13, 2023, the retired boxer Floyd Mayweather began his eagerly awaited four-day trip to Africa as part of his “Motherland Tour” in Harare, Zimbabwe.
This was followed by an exclusive Mayweather Masterclass event in the Miekels Hotel’s Stewart Room.
He met the Zimbabwean President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa at the Zimbabwean State House in Harare where they exchanged gifts.

Mayweather took the time to speak to the media following his meeting with President Mnangagwa where he urged Zimbabweans to vote him back into office in the upcoming election.
“The president is unbelievable, he is for the people. I told him he has my support 100%. “
“So we need to vote him back in. It is for a great cause, and this will be a win for the people.” said Mayweather
