Mental health in men is a topic that is rarely spoken of, particularly how it affects romantic relationships. It can be difficult, hurtful, and perhaps leave you broken to love a broken man.
The term “emotionally broken” might be interpreted as a metaphor for the severe emotional agony or tension brought on by passionate longing.

Being emotionally shattered can also be expressed as mental abuse, psychological abuse, or emotional abuse if pushed further.
“There’s this notion that we throw around about childhood traumas. It is amazing how our childhood traumas affect who we become, half the time men don’t talk about what they have gone through as children at the hands of women. Then later on, we see these men not treating women right. We don’t take time to ask ourselves what happened to this men.” said Magauta.
Considering this, she said it should be noted that being emotionally shattered is a condition of poor mental health or profound mental/emotional trauma that typically follows a time of severe and protracted emotional abuse.
