Blaq Diamond emerges victorious in a court battle against Ambitiouz Entertainment.
The musical duo Blaq Diamond has prevented YouTube and the record label Ambitiouz Entertainment from removing their music from their YouTube channel.
The Johannesburg High Court’s ruling also prohibits the record company from removing the band’s music from any other digital streaming services while the court decides how to interpret their contracts.
Ndumiso Mdletshe and Siphelele Dunywa’s group filed an urgent court appeal about the distribution of their popular song, “Qoma,” in October of last year.
Ambitiouz Entertainment asked YouTube to remove the music after a dispute with their label, citing copyright violation.
