Siya Kolisi’s knee injury could rule him out of the World Cup tournament.
Siya Kolisi, the captain of South Africa, could miss the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France due to a knee injury sustained last weekend during a United Rugby Championship match against Munster.
According to IOL, scans revealed that he appeared to have suffered a partial tear of his anterior cruciate ligaments (ACL) and meniscus injuries on both sides of his knee.

After the Springbok captain hurt his knee, Siya Kolisi’s wife Rachel pleaded with the public for prayers.
“Hey friends. Believing for a miracle. I would really appreciate [it] if you could take a minute out [of] your day to pray with us,” said Rachel.
“I’ve seen God do it before and believe He will do it again.”
She also quoted a scripture from the Bible: “Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing”.
