The Department of Social Development is calling on owners of Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres to urgently update their information.
The department found inaccuracies when processing some of the applications.
The stimulus package is aimed at helping centres that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
An emergency relief fund of R496-million has been made available for ECDs.
Social development spokesperson Lumka Oliphant says applicants need to make the necessary corrections to ensure they get paid.
“Applicants may still log in on the website to ensure that their details are accurate and to use the same link to correct or update their details.
“This should be done by using the reference number they received when they submitted their applications,” she said.
Oliphant says applicants who need further assistance can contact the call centre on 08000 89 666.
Relief for ECDs
Government reiterated calls for ECDs to submit their applications for relief funding in February.
“All types of ECD services (registered, conditionally registered or unregistered), including centre and non-centre based services, can apply for this relief funding.
“Non-centre based services include playgroups, toy libraries, childminders and mobile ECD programmes,” an official statement read.
The statement added that “organisations that run, manage or oversee multiple centre and non-centre based ECD services may apply for more than one ECD programme and more than one type of ECD programme”.
As of February 13, more than 7,000 ECD applications were completed.
