Action SA elects Funzi Ngobeni to replace Bongani Baloyi as Gauteng leader.
Funzi Ngobeni, the head of ActionSA’s Joburg caucus, will take over as province chairperson for Gauteng.
Party head Herman Mashaba nominated and appointed Ngobeni on Monday afternoon.
This follows a fallout between Bongani Baloyi and Herman Mashaba, where Baloyi announced his resignation at a media briefing in Sandton on Monday.

Party leader Herman Mashaba, In a statement, claimed that he had concluded engagements with the senate and Gauteng PEC structures on the decision to appoint Ngobeni.
