Eskom says we could have Stage 1 load shedding by Sunday.
Over the weekend, load shedding will be decreased from Stage 4 to Stage 3, with Stage 1 expected on Sunday morning, according to Eskom.
The implementation of Stage 4 load reduction will last until 5:00 on Saturday.
Act 3 will then proceed from Saturday at 5:00 until Sunday at 5:00.

At the Duvha, Kriel, and Matla power plants, a generating unit was successfully put back into operation over the course of the last 24 hours. At Camden and Kendal power plants, a generating unit was shut down for maintenance during the same time frame.
Stage 1 will then be put into effect until 16:00 on Sunday before switching back to Stage 3.
