DA’s preferred candidate to take over as Mayor Tshwane is Cillier Brink.
Cilliers Brink, the DA’s national spokesperson, has received the support of the Gauteng branch of the organization to run for mayor of Tshwane.

Point of View with Phemelo Motene spoke to Cillier Brink about his priority areas and how the city needs to move forward to ensure financial stability.
The multiparty coalition partners, who want to elect Brink as soon as possible, are said to have given him their support.
The DA is accused by the ANC, EFF, and ActionSA of ruining the city’s finances, including the claim that R10 billion cannot be accounted for under the present administration.

The city of Tshwane has been without a political leadership since the dramatic exit of former mayor Randall Williams and his mayoral committee last week.

Brink, a law graduate from the University of Pretoria, is no stranger to the town; from 2011 to 2019, he worked as a group corporate and shared services MMC.
