Cassper Nyovest, a longtime rival of slain rapper AKA has confirmed to fans that he will not be able to attend his memorial and funeral.
AKA, real name Kiernan Forbes and his friend Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane were gunned down on Friday evening, 10 February 2023 outside of Wish restaurant in Durban.
Responding to a fan’s question about whether he’ll be “pulling up” to the funeral, Cassper revealed that “unfortunately” he’ll be out of the country.
He added that he would’ve loved to attend the funeral and memorial so he can pay his last respects.
“I would’ve went to the funeral too. No matter how you look at it, me and Kiernan shared a lot of great moments together and he contributed to my industry so I have to pay my respects.”
Unfortunately I’ll be out of the country for work but if I was around I would’ve went. I would’ve went to the funeral too. No matter how you look at it, me and Kiernan shared a lot of great moments together and he contributed to my industry so I have to pay my respects. https://t.co/wXzTjWyajZ

Nyovest and AKA had been beefing since 2014 and were not on the best of terms. Despite efforts from industry friends to get them to resolve their differences, the two couldn’t work past their beef.
