LeBron James becomes the NBA’s all-time leading scorer!
LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers eclipsed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on Tuesday to take the title of NBA’s all-time top scorer. He did so with a fadeaway jump shot in the last seconds of a home game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
When the shot splashed into the net to inscribe his name in history, James, who started the game needing 36 points to break Abdul-record Jabbar’s of 38,387, drove the sold-out crowd into a frenzy.
Abdul-Jabbar, a legendary member of the Lakers who, on April 5, 1984, used his trademark skyhook to oust Wilt Chamberlain as champion, watched Tuesday’s game from courtside.
