DD Mabuza confirms his resignation as Deputy President of the country.
David Mabuza, has publicly acknowledged that he has submitted his resignation to President Cyril Ramaphosa.
He was speaking at a funeral in Mpumalanga over the weekend.
Mabuza’s departure has been the subject of widespread rumours, but the presidency has declined to respond.
Mabuza was also not present at the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) lekgotla, and Cabinet lekgotla.

Mashatile’s confirmation as an ANC member of parliament (MP) a week ago was the culmination of a series of political developments that led to Mabuza’s public declaration of his wish to leave the presidency.
