School learners escaped burning minibus taxi in Riet River, Kwa Zulu Natal.
Several learners were able to escape from a burning minibus taxi on Monday morning while it was taking them to school.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) personnel were dispatched to Riet River’s Neptune Drive.

According to the Reaction Unit of South Africa, the incident happened early in the morning at around 07:02.
“Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to Neptune Drive in Riet River – KZN at approximately 07:02. On arrival, RUSA Members discovered a VW Microbus engulfed in flames.
The driver informed Reaction Officers that he purchased the vehicle two weeks ago. It has since been to a panel beater. This morning was the first day that he used the vehicle to transport children to school when it suddenly burst into flames. The cause of the fire was not immediately established.” reads the incident report from Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA),
